Bryan

Aloha, I’m Bryan! When I moved to Maui in 2008, I dove head first into all the fun activities I could think of and I got really good at going out to play. Consequently, I started taking friends and family out to play when they would visit Maui and that was the seed that grew into Maui’s Private Guide. I started the business in 2010 with a build-it-yourself website and a 20 year old van.

When it started to grow, I figured I better learn what I’m doing so I slowed down a bit on the tours and went to University of Hawaii, Maui Campus, and took a bunch of really great classes including 2 semesters of Hawaiian Culture (history), World History, Geology to learn about the volcanos that are Hawaii, World religions so I could better accommodate folks of all backgrounds, and, of course some accounting and book keeping. I was active duty Army, an Airborne Ranger, during Operation Just Cause and Desert Storm. Later, I served as a Firefighter and Paramedic for over 20 years in Utah before finally moving to Maui and starting this business. I am a man of honor and integrity and it is my company motto to “Give you the best day of your vacation and memories that will last a lifetime”. Thanks for taking the time to learn a bit about us and we sincerely hope you will spend a day or two with us here in Maui!

His journey included studying Hawaiian culture, history, and geology at the University of Hawaii, Maui Campus, to enhance his knowledge and offer more enriching experiences. With a background as an Army Airborne Ranger and over 20 years as a firefighter and paramedic, Bryan brings a wealth of experience, integrity, and a commitment to providing exceptional service. Frequently asked questions

Most frequent questions and answers

Absolutely! All our tours are fully customizable to suit your interests and abilities. For the Maui Island Tours, The Farm Tours and the Extreme Tours, we'll call you and discuss all the fun options we have and create an itinerary ahead of time.

For the Road to Hana Tour, your guide will discuss options and such with you when they pick you up in the morning and throughout the day. You even get to choose where you want to have lunch. Often times the weather may play a role in your choices/decisions.

For all our tours, we have a base rate of $1000.00 plus the tax and booking fee. That covers the first two participants. We then add $175 plus tax and booking fee for each additional person. The Maui Island tour, the Extreme tour and the Farm tours may incur other entry fees and tickets that will be added to the base price. We’ll discuss those options with you and make those reservations and then add those fees to the total cost. For the Road to Hana the prices above apply for people who need to be picked up in Ma’alaea, Kihei, Wailea, Makena, Wailuku, Kahului, the OGG Airport or the Kahului Harbor, Paia and other north shore towns and the Upcountry area. However, for the Road to Hana tour, if you are staying out on the westside in Lahaina, Ka’anapali, Napili, Kahana or Kapalua you can meet us near the airport or we can come pick you up for an additional $200 fee. We cover the entry fee to the Wai’anapanapa State park. For the Extreme tours you will be charged the base rate as quoted above plus the sum of any tickets or entry fees we purchase for you such as Paragliding, Zip lining, Skydiving, ultra-light aircraft flights, parasailing, personal watercraft rental and off roading rentals. Extreme tours must call us to talk about the options so we can check availabilities and prices and then we’ll give you a quote.
